Origami Box Ring
This is another favorite. The delicate folds made in silver create a very sculptural design which would not be possible in paper. Here I use a kiln jewel (glass) which gives it color and a focal point. It isn’t necessary to fire the gem with this ring. As long as it fits into the silver box and has a flat bottom, you can add any gem after the ring has been fired. Think of the possibilities! Turquoise, rubies or even diamonds. The folds of silver hold the gem in place without any glue or prongs.
